She wasn't quite as vicious, but she helped... (and probably believed she helped save her daughter from a more severe beating.) Of course, the Mom probably suffered abuse from the Judge, too.

Hey, Judge, what'cha gonna do now? Blame your downfall and failure on your daughter, I bet.

I'm so glad he lost his Judgeship.
