assign ill persons to Medicaid at State expense, even if it is determined later that the patient is not qualified in terms of income to received Medicaid. According to ACA, the initial tabs are on state taxpayers. I think that the hospital bills for swine flu victims are coming in now to both Dallas and Tarrant County Hospital Districts. So both the State and County taxpayers are going to pay this out in taxes!

The Republican controlled Texas Legislature knew this would happen and knew that the Hospital District Taxpayers would be picking up the bills.

The Republican controlled Texas Legislature knew what they were doing when they turned down the $8 Billion dollars that was to come to Texas for Medicaid Expansion; also knowing that the taxpayers of Texas had already paid for the expansion through income taxes. Each and everyone of them should be voted out of office over this one issue. Republican voters should have to pick up the additional tax hike that is coming to the taxpayers of the big Texas city's County Hospital Districts this Fall.
