UMC, Shallowater homes, Lubbock bank among places reporting flooding [View all]

Heavy rain caused flooding in Lubbock area homes, businesses and at University Medical Center.

In an email to A-J Media, Eric Finley, spokesperson for University Medical Center, said UMC is experiencing flooding in four different levels of the hospital including the basement, first, second and fourth floors.

Water is currently in IT, health records, administration, day surgery and in the Medical ICU, he wrote.

Shallowater residents are reporting about six to 12 inches of water in several homes.
