Democratic Senate Primary Tomorrow: Play It Like It Is Real [View all]

Tomorrow's the run-off for the Democratic senatorial primary. The race is between Paul Sadler, a former Democratic state legislator, and Grady Yarbrough, a fellow who has made token runs for office several times on both the Democratic--and the Republican--tickets.

As Paul Sadler has sent in a recent e-mail. This is not a game. This is serious. This is for real.

Those of us Texas DU'ers have been exposed to the stuff the Republican contenders have been slinging back and forth at each other--with terms like "moderate" and "amnesty" and "Obamacare." The prospect of having someone even further to the right of John Cornyn taking Kay Bailey Hutchison's seat (And whether or not we think Kay is a lady or not, we agree she's no moderate!) is appalling.

Play this run-off like it's for real and we can have a real candidate facing the Republican Party and the so-called "Club for Growth." And we can keep fighting these races until we have real victory.
