Dear Democrat,

Some people raised concerns about a recent email we sent comparing the records of Paul Sadler and Grady Yarbrough – the two individuals seeking the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate. We’d like to make it clear that the email was not an endorsement of a candidate, as the Texas Democratic Party does not endorse in the primary.

We did however; find it problematic that one of the candidates has not filed the required federal campaign finance reports that would have disclosed where his funding is coming from. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Yarbrough “hasn’t kept up with Federal Elections Commission campaign finance filings […] There is no documented proof about how his campaign is funded.”

The same candidate has also twice run for office as a Republican and has taken positions that are more consistent with the platform of the Republican Party. When asked about his position on immigration, Yarbrough said that the Berlin Wall was “pretty effective.”

In light of these extenuating circumstances, we felt compelled to share that information with you, and re-send the comparison of the two candidates. There is too much at stake.

Tomorrow is primary runoff- Election Day. Make sure you vote in the Democratic Primary for the remaining candidates that best represent our Party and will have the best shot at defeating Republicans in November. You can find your polling place here.

Lots more on the comparison of the two. Basically Yarbrough is coming off looking pretty shady and like a republican lite.

Vote Sadler!!
