8. I seriously considered coming to Austin when you had the last meeting in July.

However, I'm not feeling very comfortable with my self-image since I didn't receive my upper denture due to a lab error before I had oral surgery. I'm sick of eating "cream of whatever".

The good news is that the final remaining scab on my gums should fall off within the next few days so I can finally get the denture placed. I had the teeth removed on June 21, so I'm looking forward to chewing solid food again and being able to get attend interviews since I need to get back into the job market.

The bad news is that I need oral surgery on the lower jaw. There are still 11 teeth there, but nearly all of them are in bad shape so my aim is to have all of them removed. It saves money by not having partial dentures and only be sedated once (which runs over $300 per surgery). It will also make it easier to match the color on the dentures, but the whole she-bang will run over $4,000. That isn't a trivial amount when my income source is an unemployment check.
