That's a rather large distinction.

And what, exactly, is the definition of 'involving a violent act'?

I suppose 'resisting arrest' will count, even if the reality was that the accused was assaulted by the cops? And perhaps 'blocking traffic during a protest'?

Pricks. It's really nobodies business 'who pays the bail' for someone, IMHO.
