What can you tell me about Richmond? [View all]

I have a brother who lives just outside of there - but he's pretty right-wing so not the one to ask!

A few questions:

How liberal/conservative is Richmond? Can a very very liberal, atheist be comfortable there? Or find kindred spirits?

How racist is Richmond these days?

Cost of living? (cheap safe apartments)

VCU - opinions?
