In city after city across the country public land Occupations are being evicted in what appears to be a nationally coordinated assault on the Occupy Movement and the First Amendment.

Occupy Olympia (WA) and the Alliance for Global Justice (fiscal sponsor of Occupy Wall St.) are organizing an Occupy Solidarity Social Forum Feb. 18-19, 2012 in Olympia, WA.

The self-organized, social forum-type gathering will create a space for Occupiers from many different local Occupations to share their experiences, network, strategize about methods and campaigns to raise this inspiring movement to the next level, and to consider ways that they can support each other.

Occupy Olympia is willing to host the Movement in this critical time when a face-to-face meeting can make a real difference. Olympia, WA has the advantages of a temperate winter climate, proximity to the Seattle-Tacoma airport, use of Evergreen College for indoor meeting space, and over 100 local Occupiers willing to help with logistics.

Alliance for Global Justice is committed to raise the money needed so that a diverse cross-section of Occupiers can gather to talk about their successes and failures as well as about where they see this movement going and how to get there.

But we need your help to make this movement-building gathering the success it has the potential to be. We need $10,000-$15,000 for food, meeting space, airport shuttles, communication, outreach and live-streaming. We need even more to provide travel subsidies to achieve diversity of race, class, and geography.
