(51,907 posts)Just a few weeks from now, on January 22, 2013, 40 years will have passed since the US Supreme Court ruled in the case of Roe v. Wade, granting American women the right to safe, legal abortion.
And yet, 40 years after the fact, women are still fighting for their rights.
Please join Planned Parenthood and special guest Sarah Weddington - the attorney who successfully argued Roe v. Wade before the Supreme Court at the age of 27! - on January 22, 2013 to commemorate this historic case and look toward the future of reproductive choice in the Northwest.

We'll be gathering at Town Hall Seattle (1119 8th Avenue Seattle, WA 98101) on Tuesday the 22nd to hear first-hand accounts of life before Roe v. Wade, discuss the increasing number of attempts to restrict abortion in recent years, and learn what you can do to ensure womennot politiciansremain in control of their own health and lives.
