Heavy traffic expected when Chick-fil-A opens in Marysville [View all]

MARYSVILLE — Chick-fil-A opens its Marysville restaurant at 6:30 a.m. Thursday at 8810 36th Ave. NE, and the city expects a major turnout.

Drivers should prepare for more traffic than usual on 88th Street NE between State Avenue and I-5, city spokesperson Connie Mennie said in a news release.

“Based on experience when Chick-fil-A opened in other communities, significant traffic impacts are likely for several days,” she said.

Construction also has closed State Avenue north of 100th Street, near Fred Meyer. To get into town and avoid 88th Street NE, the city recommends using the Fourth Street or 116th Street exits off of I-5. Then use either 51st Avenue NE or 67th Avenue NE to travel north and south.
