The presentation outlines how feasible it is to get to universal coverage for all residents in
the state of Washington while we wait for Congress to pass an Improved and Expanded Medicare for All. Mandatory private health insurance, under the federal Affordable Care Act, is
NOT universal health care. The Washington Health Security Trust bill complies with the Affordable Care Act and details how state-based universal health care would be organized in Washington State.
