(51,907 posts)May 30: Raise awareness about PSE's coal problem!
The coal-free movement in Washington State is amazing. We've stopped three out of six coal export terminals, Governor Inslee just signed Washingtons climate bill, and were raising more and more awareness about Puget Sound Energys big, old, dirty coal plant.
Now is the time for PSE to write a plan to replace that dirty coal with clean energy.
Most people don't even know that PSE gets 30% of its electricity from coal -- you can help spread the word.
Come out to a fun event during rush-hour on the I-90 bridge to urge PSE to commit to a transition from coal to clean energy -- and provide more jobs and investment in Washington.
Join us on May 30 on Mercer Island and raise awareness about PSE's coal problem and make PSE go coal-free. RSVP now! We'll give all new activists a free Beyond Coal t-shirt.
