19. Metropolitan Democratic Group meets in Seatle 10/9

Please join us this Wednesday to hear Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson report on what's happening in his office, what challenges he's facing, and how he plans to deal with them. Be ready with your questions!

Mr. Ferguson has spoken at our meetings frequently and we always enjoy his lively and informative presentations.

We will start with a few announcements and then finish our general endorsement proceedings. At the last meeting we did not vote on the state Advisory Votes 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. This should take very little time as they are all about repealing or maintaining taxes "imposed, eliminated, or extended" by the legislature "without the vote of the people." Study up ahead of time if you have doubts or questions about these; we will not be taking time for discussion unless there is some extremely compelling reason for doing so. Full descriptions of the bills in question are available on the Washington State Legislature website.

Members have received a Voter Guide listing MDC endorsements enclosed with their October edition of The MDC News. Copies will also be available at the meeting.
