Celebrating and Protecting the Salish Sea
In an historic sign of unity, tribes from across the region will call for putting an end to the threats of coal and oil to treaty-protected rights and sacred places. Leaders from the Lummi Nation and other tribal leaders from the Pacific Northwest will stand together to show that when it comes to coal and oil---none shall pass through our region and put our history, our environment and future generations at stake.
When: Thursday, May 14, 2015 6pm 9pm
Where: Golden Gardens Bath House in Seattle, WA
Singer and song-writer Chenoa Egawa of the Lummi Nation will begin the evening with the Honor Song. We will hear from Reuben George from Tseil Waututh First Nation, and will have a special guest speaker from Chile, Juan Pablo Orrego, Member of the Board of the International Rivers Network and founder of Ecosfera. The evening will end with the round drum honoring song.
This is an event not to be missed! RSVP today!
