(51,907 posts)Building Human Habitats: How transit infrastructure, land use policy and public health investments help create a healthier city.
Join us for our June Transit Talk with Dr. Howard Frumkin, Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Washington. Land use and transportation have a huge impact on public health. His talk will focus on the need to create healthy human habitats to help increase physical activity and reduce health impacts and disparities.
Dr. Frumkin is an authority on the public health impacts of urban sprawl and the built environment. With an introduction by Renée Klein, CEO & President of the American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific, this transit talk will connect the dots on how transit, pedestrian and bike infrastructure can help create better health outcomes.
This Transit Talks is brought to you in partnership with American Lung Association Mountain Pacific.
