(51,907 posts)In the past six months, our state has seen both unprecedented forest fires and an intense debate over oil rigs passing through our waters. There is no doubt that Washington is at the center of many of the biggest environmental threats facing our nation and planet.
To be successful as we come together against these threats we need a big team and we want you! We hope you can join us at our annual Breakfast of Champions on Oct. 8th. Together, we can show that Washington supports elected officials who are willing to take action on climate and protect our states natural environment and economic future.
Tickets are just $75, get yours HERE before it's too late - Thursday Oct. 1st is the last day to register. The breakfast will take place at The Westin in Downtown Seattle from 7:30am to 9:00am.
We have an inspiring program lined up; the only thing missing is YOU. Heres what you can look forward to:
Remarks by Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., CEO of the Hip Hop Caucus and League of Conservation Voters Board Member
Legislator of The Year presentation to Representative Joe Fitzgibbon
Comments from Washington Conservation Voters' CEO Joan Crooks and President Shannon Murphy
Together, we can make a difference for our environment and our future by electing leaders who are committed to its protection.
Best,
Joan Crooks
CEO
P.S. Next Thursday, October 1st is the last day to register, REGISTER TODAY!
