They are working their way toward that. It will take years. Traffic is awful, rent worse. Most houses listed for sale sell for over list price. Jobs seem plentiful, but the populace is well educated, so there's stiff competition for jobs. It's a beautiful city, but if you're looking for a cheaper place to live Seattle is a really bad choice.
