of marriage equality, we may have a double battle on our hands. There may also be an Initiative 1192 on the ballot, which serves to confuse the issue. I-1192 would change the definition of marriage in the Washington State Constitution to read "between one man and one woman". So, if both Ref. 74 and I-1192 reach the ballot, anyone who wishes to have marriage equality in Washington will have to vote Yes on R-74 and No on I-1192.

Leave it to our opposition to confuse the issue as much as is humanly possible. On a personal note: if the knuckle draggers fail to get either the referendum or the initiative on the ballot, I'm getting married on June 10th.
