Someone dropped off almost 4 pounds of weed at a Goodwill store [View all]

A Goodwill store in Monroe, Washington, got a very generous, though likely illegal, donation over the weekend: nearly $25,000 of weed dropped off in a cooler.

It was unclear exactly when the cooler was dropped off or if the person who left it intended to donate the marijuana or if they just forgot the cooler they were donating was full of weed.

Either way, the "employees (were) surprised when they opened the lid," Monroe police said in a tweet.

Washington law states that adults can purchase and possess up to 1 ounce of weed. Investigators estimated the street value of the pot -- all 3.75 pounds of it -- at roughly $24,000, according to Q13 Fox News.
