State Senate race in Racine still too close to call [View all]

RACINE -- The state Senate race in Racine is still in a holding pattern.

Less than 800-votes separate incumbent Van Wanggaard and his democratic challenger John Lehman.

So will there be a recount? Wanggaard has not made it publicly known if he'll push for a recount of votes. He has until the end of the month to decide whether to challenge Lehman's apparent victory.

For now, Lehman and his fellow democrats are proceeding as if he is in fact the new state Senator. If it sticks, Lehman would be the only democrat to force out a republican, Tuesday in the six recall races.
