Politicians aren't doctors and shouldn't be forcing invasive, unnecessary medical procedures on women. Veto Senate Bill 206, the bill that would force women seeking an abortion to undergo a mandatory, medically unnecessary transvaginal ultrasound.
Why is this important?

After the Wisconsin state senate introduced and passed a mandatory ultrasound bill within just 8 days, Sen. Tim Cullen of Janesville quipped, "All of a sudden the Senate is full of doctors."

But SB 206 is no laughing matter, nor is the disregard for public input the state senate showed in passing the bill so quickly. Despite the far-reaching effects of the proposal to meddle in the personal medical decisions of women and their doctors across the state, opponents said they were left with less than 24 hours to analyze the final version of the bill and prepare testimony.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which represents thousands of women's health experts across the country, has spoken out publicly against similar measures in other states, saying "many of these laws are dangerous to patients’ health and safety." But the Wisconsin state legislature has rammed through their own ill-advised law with the hopes that doctors, women's health advocates, and people like you and I won't notice.
