A Question From Bubbaland (Texas) Re Early Canadian Childcare [View all]

Hi, I'm a Texas Democrat who discovered that the Texas Republican US senatorial candidate was born in Calgary in 1970 and spent his first four years living in Canada. Since Ted Cruz is a Tea Party radical, obviously Canadian political values didn't rub off on the little fellow, but that's not my question.

What sorts of infant and child-care programs did Canada have up and running in the early 1970's? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Thanks in advance.
