The total economic loss from the decline in international visits to the U.S. in 2025 is estimated to be between $12.5 billion and $30 billion in direct visitor spending. This represents a sharp reversal for the U.S., which was the only one of 184 economies analyzed to see a decline in international tourism spending in 2025.
