POLICE have confirmed that no more snakes are thought to be on the loose in Greenock.
A 15-foot python was found behind Broomhill Bar in Drumfrochar Road, yesterday.
The owner of the snake has been identified. No members of the public were injured.
The snake was uplifted by staff from housing association River Clyde Homes and held at their depot in Springkell Street where it was later collected by a vet but the BBC report that the snake has since died.
Police last night said they were investigating reports of a number of snake sightings but Sergeant Jason Logsdon confirmed today: No other snakes are reported as missing or stolen.
