Ex-troops without degrees to train as teachers

5. Part good idea, part atrocious idea......

...Yes many ex servicemen would make excellent teachers, and I certainly think more needs to be done for military personell when they leave the armed forces.

However, giving ex servicement inferior training to everyone else makes it a recipe for disaster. Perhaps they are doing this in the hope that ex servicement fast-tracked like this won't be offered the same wages as properly trained teachers?
