4. any article using the word 'superfood' is very suspect - probably based on a marketing release

Because 'superfood' doesn't have a fixed meaning.

All this article has is a passive "has been named", twice, without any indication who 'named' it. But a lot of quotes from the black pudding company, and handy links to their website, so I suspect it's an industry PR group who named it, and the county-proud Bolton News is playing along.
