My husband and I wrote this yesterday, hope you like it and spread it around !!!
“Church of the Latter Day Yertle”

Two gentlemen glowed in the light of the flag
And said, “Just think of all we might have !
Romney and Ryan, oh marvelous we !
If elected, we’ll lay waste to all that we see!
We’re kings of the land, water, oceans, and air
We can drill, we can mine, we can frack everywhere
If you say that we lie then it’s not what we meant
everything’s right from the top one percent.
But we don’t own enough, that’s the trouble, you see !
We need to give more to people like we!
So give us your jobs and all your factories.
And we’ll set up business somewhere overseas!
A place with no health care, no rights and no pay,
No unions, no rules, and no EPA!
And then, since the prices they charge can’t be beat
It’s impossible for American shops to compete !
We saw ! We conquered ! We bought ! We came !
Now the only American business is Bain !”
“But that’s still not enough!” Mitt and Paul soon complained,
“We will banish entitlements ! Keep government contained !
Health care’s expensive, food stamps cost too much!
They all just want handouts! (Lower taxes for us !)
If Americans aren’t rich then blame THEM, sorry chaps
You should all just try harder and pull up those bootstraps !”
Then way down below they discerned a vague sound -
The murmurs of millions scared folks on the ground,
The ones on whose shoulders their platform did rest,
The ones earning poverty wages at best,
The ones Romney said didn’t need any help.
And Romney said, “Stuff it ! I built this myself !
Thank god for loose gun laws, if they threaten I’ll shoot!
Just a few less civilians - no one gives a hoot !”
99% grumbled and soon their ranks swelled
strategizing the way that these windbags be felled!
“What they say and they do seems deceitful and canned
For God’s sake, their idols are Reagan and Rand !
They make jokes about stalling demise of the earth
and ignore global warming, such a subject for mirth !
The ascent of these demagogues soon must be halted -
Their malicious agenda and plans not exalted.
Roll up your sleeves, time to work, so go do it !
Get ready to rumble, don’t give up and say, ”Screw it !!”
Our votes and our voices are not plain little things –
They’re the weapons we have to stave off future kings !”
