Both of which whose candidates I support. First, the Elizabeth Warren group when I had the audacity to remind them that Liz (love her) had stated multiple times that she was not interested in the presidency. Apparently that was a too mind exploding truth, so they banned me.
The second was upon Manny Goldstein's banning and the Bernie Sanders group. I was not a big fan of Manny, however I often read his posts nonetheless. I didn't as much object to his opinion as much as his tactics. But when he posted the OP that recommended that folks should not vote for Hillary if she got the nomination, I posted my opinion that he clearly violated the DU TOS, which was clearly stated by the admins. One post, and I was banned. This in spite of the fact that I support Bernie Sanders and will vote for him in the MI primary.
Here's the deal. DU has carved itself into these so-called protected safe zones. What they are about is nothing other than blinkered Orwellian diatribe. If one disagrees, one is banned. It does not matter that Elizabeth Warren does not want to run for President. If you say so, you are fucking banned. And when a long term DUer flagrantly violates the TOS by advocating not voting for the Dem nominee, agreeing with the result gets one banned from a forum which one supports.
DU has become a children's playground. The candidate forums are a huge part of the problem. They isolate discussion. And they fucking ban supporters on simple disagreements, which I think DU is about.
Elizabeth Warren clearly stated that she was not interested in the presidency. But saying so gets one banned from the ever delusional Elizabeth Warren group.
Manny clearly violated the TOS. I have no idea what communication happened between the admins and Manny. However supporting the TOS in the Bernie Sanders group got me banned there. And I am a Bernie Sanders supporter!!!!
Fuck the candidate groups.
on edit: Maybe the Bernie Sanders group should rename themselves as the Manny Goldstein group. It certainly seems that way.
