6. E-mail is not "temporary". The message is referring to the cache.

When you download a page and it has images on it, those images are stored locally so if you return to the page it will load more quickly. All browsers (well, not sure about Chrome - not really up to the "browser" category) have a setting for how long to keep them, or maximum space to use before deleting the oldest ones. They also have an option for clearing temporary files manually. NONE of that has anything to do with your e-mail.
