I managed to get both computers connected and started the transfer when I suddenly got the dread blue screen of death.
When I tried to re-connect, it wasn't happening.
Soooo, despite my best efforts, I ended up cleaning up my external drive, transferred everything to that, and now have that reconnected to the new computer...
I tried the hard way apparently...."easy transfer wizard" my ass!!!
SO now, we can cut/copy and paste our files properly, slowly and with more organization as I had intended in the first place...
Oh well..can't fault me for trying.....at now I can sleep!
