There seems to be a lot of people having the same problem. The easiest fix looks like a bios update. Lots of people have had the motherboard replaced several times without solving the problem. There are also problems with a sub board that charges the battery. Cooling problems too which somehow affect the charging system. I would try the bios update first. Go to dell to get the file and follow the directions to the letter or you will render your laptop useless. If you aren't computer savy, seek help from someone who is.
