2. Thanks, I reloaded all the driver stuff and went throught the install twice

the first time I left the printer connected via USB. All the HP software saw the install as complete and functioning normal the scanner still wouldn't work.

Second time I pulled the USB connector and went through the install using the wireless router...all it's functions seem to work again...err, it passed all the tests on the install including the scan test.
