one for four days, one for a week. Never did find out the cause of 'em, except that it was on their end. They gave me a bill credit for the first one, nothing for the second. They're charging me out the wazzoo for the modem, though. The basic service is 24.95/mo, after a one-year trial rate of 19.95/mo. Tech support is decent, I guess--I've never needed it for anything that was at my end, just when I had the two outages that were on their end; they went thru everything to see if it was on my end, and seemed to be thorough about it. But fixing the issues at their end did seem to be problematic for them. Overall, speed and reliability are pretty good, I'd say--my previous experience was with dial-up, so their DSL was a thrilling step up for me, but I had to badger them (and their predecessors (Sprint & Embarq) for eight effin' years to get it out here in the toolies, where the only other option for high-speed service is expensive and inconsistent satellite connection.
