Third time's the charm, though questions remain [View all]

After all the agony of the evening, it finally dawned on me that although my wifi booster came with an installation program, maybe it didn't really need one!

So I tried just plugging it in the Acer Chromebook c7, and lo and behold it listed all the usual available networks.

Which is fine except that I remember the signal booster instructions saying to disable a computer's wifi before trying to use the usb signal booster because the two programs would fight. Sure enough I could not actually connect to any of the discovered networks available.

#1: Doesn't it seem logical that this should work if I can only find out now how to disable the wifi on the chromebook?

#2: Does anyone know how to disable the wifi on the C7? So far that's not info I've found, and right now my eyes are crossed, I'm exhausted, and about to scream.
