1. If your signal strength with G is good, N wouldn't help with streaming from the Internet.

G's speeds are already greater than your Internet uplink, so an upgrade on your internal speed won't do anything. Where N really shines, I have found, is signal strength. I used to have to use a repeater to get my wifi to all parts of my house and the backyard. When I upgraded my main router to an N device, I no longer needed that.
