5. While you are in Mail, move your cursor to the 'Mailbox' pulldown menu from the menu bar.

- Click on Mailbox, move the cursor down and click on 'New Mailbox'

You should get a dialog box that lets you select the 'Location' where to save the new mailbox.

- Name it (something different from the folders that disappeared, just in case) and save it to ON MY MAC

See if it shows up in your sidebar under ON MY MAC

If it does, at this point I am curious to see if your old folders show up.

If not, try to drag one of the 58 emails to the new folder.
