"Their perception of what should happen isn’t realistic."

My perception was that I wasn't electing a president who would promote cuts to Social Security and would protect our civil liberties.
And I also thought we would see a more transparent administration and would not have to watch them negotiate corporate friendly trade agreements in secret.

Come to think of it my perception was based on what Obama promised us. I guess the point is don't believe a word he says.
