It came to head when our flight was delayed out of Chicago to the Twin Cities following a funeral. We went to the ice cream shop that was there and ordered malts because we needed something that would stay with us and brighten the antsy kids moods. They couldn't do malts they were out of milk. So I went next door where they had a cooler and purchased the milk they needed for the malts and came back with it. The response. The clerk (who did not have a lot of other business) was furious and muttering under her breath. This was back when Minnesota Nice actually existed.

Other odd thing that day. My ex husband 5' 8" kept getting people coming up to him asking him if he were Refrigerator Perry who was supposed to be coming in after a victory that day. At first it was funny but after the 10th person asked we had to wonder what reality these people operated under. Perry, of course, is much taller and proportionately wider.
