Anyway, I can imagine one slipping out while squeezing past her on the couch and that's kinda embarrassing on a first date, but after a few years it's a comedy routine and the usual apology should do.

But methinks there's a lot more bad juju here than meets the eye. It almost sounds like he stuck his bad ass in her face and cut one just to piss her off and then got pissed himself when it worked.

I'm also thinking 50 grand for bail in a domestic thing where no one got seriously hurt is a bit much, and bespeaks more serious things not spoken of here.
