5. Mine was a very young kitten - too young to be alone

But he and his litter mates had been found under someone's house. The mother was probably a feral so they didn't get any socialization before they were found. After I adopted him, I had major abdominal surgery so I couldn't hold him and pet him as much as I should have.

But this cat has been crazy all his life. He will be fine, sweet and loving, then suddenly his eyes go crossed and he will got bezerk. He has launched himself at us and inflicted some serious damage - I have scars to prove it!

But he is ours for life, no matter how nuts he is. Fortunately, now that he is nearly ten years old he is mellowing. He still goes nuts, but most of the time he is too lazy to be as aggressive as he used to be.
