volunteer more opportunities for her opponents to take her words out of context, twist them, make insinuations and accusations from them, and malign her character.

It's what they do. It's what they did to her and her husband for almost 35 freaking years.

So they imply there's something WRONG if she doesn't supply them with more fodder for making mud?
