He entered the race as Mr. Nice Guy, sincere and smiling, who only wanted to stand up for the little people. Now he's just downright nasty.

I knew he couldn't keep up the "nice guy" image for long - but I think the mask slipped far too soon in the campaign, and much to his detriment.

We'll never know how many voters who initially supported him were turned-off completely - not only by his now obvious mean streak, but by the fact that he was hiding his true nature from the outset.
