She was/is as vain as a canary in a roomful of mirrors, resentful, and just not as smart as she thinks she is.

Part of Trump has never matured past being the playground bully in elementary school; I find it intriguing that he found a home in that military school his parents sent him to.

But besides his bullying ego Trump has had extensive money and power his whole life. He understands much better how to wield it. Whatever brains he has he uses to accrue more vainglory to himself -- and though much better educated than Palin, he is also not as smart as he thinks he is.

Neither of them has any empathy toward others. Neither of them has any power of introspection.
