So I'm buried at least until then. During the month the exhibit will be up we've doing gallery talks and classes so that will keep our members busy and I have to herd the cats to keep things going. I'm hoping to get most of my responsibilities wound up by May 8 and get back into campaign HQ the next week.

I hate doing the calls. During the 2008 campaign I set our team up to do the calls off the computer from home since we were rural with no place to phone bank - and we had several members who were not mobile. Using the online call lists rather than the printed ones our team ran out of calls to make in our area before the end of election day. All the other teams used printed calling lists and no other team completed all the calls they wanted to make.

I did all the computer work for our 2008 team - walk lists, call lists, rides to polls, etc. As a result I ended up being team leader when the original one dropped out.

I couldn't do it in 2012 - I had both knees replaced and carpal tunnel surgery and just couldn't focus to handle the work. I went in and made the calls a couple of times, but I hate making calls, even if I'm pretty good at it. I'd be better doing it from my home phone without all the distraction of a phone bank but I still hate doing them.
