PHILADELPHIA (Spurious News Network) -- Emergency rooms across the City of Brotherly Love were packed today with Bernie Sanders' most fervent supporters, who are colloquially known as "Bernie Bros" and who dressed from head-to-toe in black to protest their chosen candidate's defeat in the Democratic presidential primaries.

They came ready to be felled by tear gas and police truncheon. A simpler and more insidious foe took them down.

"Don't those idiots know it gets hot in Philadelphia in July?" asked Dr. Sally Smith, chief of emergency medicine at Philadelphia's Hahnemann University Hospital. "We find a homeopathic approach to treating their condition is best - we just throw them, clothes and all, in the hospital's swimming pool until they cool down. Works every time."
