I must have regrettably just passed by all of the hateful racial and religious Twitter taunts aimed at President Obama without blocking. And I never engage in online "fights," here or elsewhere. But, as a woman, the hateful ugliness aimed at Hillary, a woman, has gotten to me.

The names she is called, the comments on her appearance, the meanness regarding her policies, the presumption of guilt in many areas -- it's too much. She is a brave, strong woman and has been through this before. She will survive, and, I think, conquer.

And my Twitter feed will be a kinder, gentler place.
