when it turns out that, despite those polls, Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, hands down. They hate the Clintons so much that they'll actually vote for a pro-gun, anti-immigration know-nothing, do-nothing, inexperienced congresscritter who has zero chance of winning from any Republican. Should by some miracle Bernie wins the primaries, all those Liberty U students and Republicans who say they'll vote for Bernie will scatter like roaches when the lights switch on - and we get a Republican in the White House. God help us if that's Trump.

But those Berners can happily and gleefully pound their chests and crow, "I voted my conscience! So what if a Republican won the White House? I voted my conscience!" because, you know, it's all about them. The country as a whole doesn't even factor into that narcissistic thought process.

They did that in 2000 and, up until the public sentiment turned against them, they were crowing how they voted their principles - you know? Like Republican voters are wont to do despite being on government assistance most of their lives and needing it while voting for Republicans who are trying to take it away from them.
