They hate Mary Landrieau, a lifelong Democrat who voted with us 9 out of 10 times. Yet they embrace
confederate apologist/sexist/Reaganite Jim Webb.

They loved Obamacare until Bernie came along and promised them something that will take some time to implement.

Strange isn't it?

"Bold ideas are wonderful. I have no problem with bold ideas.

But you don't get there in one step. And we didn’t get to the moon in one step, either.

Maybe you’re not old enough to remember how it went — I am, and I do.

We launched satellites first. Unmanned rockets. Then animals. Lots of failures too.

Then we went to men. First just suborbital. Then orbital. Just one guy too, not many.

Then we went to TWO guys. Bigger rockets.

Then it was three, which is what it would take for the moon. Orbits first, then orbits around the moon, then the moon landing.

We lost guys getting there too.

So if you want to aim for universal, single payer, that’s great. I’m all for that.

But it won’t happen in one fell swoop. It will come in pieces, and there will be setbacks along the way.

The ACA is just the satellites and suborbital flights phase. We’ll move on from there.

But not as fast as some would like, and not all at once, because nothing that big of a change ever happens overnight. Or all at once.

But it happens, nonetheless. "

The ACA is the first step in getting national coverage for all.

Sanders pipe dream is not happening. National coverage is not going to happen in one turn. It will take time.
