(41,450 posts)I think that it's more that it wasn't such a key event outside the UK as in it; and some of the people involved in the primaries may be scarcely aware of it.
As a UK-er myself, I am very grateful to Bill Clinton for just that reason.
As regards being blocked from the Bernie Sanders group - I think there are over 200 people blocked from that group, and even more blocked from the Hillary Clinton group. I have not even attempted to get involved in the primary candidate groups (for the record, I prefer Sanders, but would take ANYONE over the Republican loonies, and anyway it's not up to me as a non-American). I have quite enough of that sort of thing with the way that the Labour Party in the UK react to any political defeat by fighting each other rather than the Tories. And Corbyn gets the blame for it, but it was going on loooong before Corbyn.
